The cast of Seinfeld will reunite for a multi-episode arc on Curb Your Enthusiasm 11 years after the show wrapped its ninth season, HBO has confirmed.
Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Jerry Seinfeld will also reunited with Larry David, who was a co-creator and probably the funniest part of the Seinfeld phenomenon. As a tribute to his importance to the show, David and the four cast members are known as the “Seinfeld 5.”
Details about story lines and all of that fun stuff are rather non-existent right now. As a strict first reaction, I think that it seems like David and Curb are doing a favor for Alexander and Richards. Even Jerry Seinfeld’s star has fallen dramatically over the past three-or-so years, so I don’t think this reunion is as big of a story as it would have been five years ago.
What I’m most interested in is a secondary story. How did Julia Louis-Dreyfus get CBS (who produces New Adventures of Old Christine) to agree to let her go on HBO’s Curb? Is it simply because a Seinfeld reunion gets them higher ratings, as one would think?
Stay tuned on this front and for the back story of the Seinfeld cast on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Yayayay! This is going to be AMAZING. I’m sure of it. Larry David will do a brilliant job writing something ridiculously clever for this.
I wonder how they’ll approach Michael Richards in the episode? I mean, last we saw of him, he was spewing racist BS during a stand-up gig. Yikes!
Regardless, will NOT curb my enthusiasm. I blogged about it too: http://squareeyes.blinkx.com/?p=415
this is gonna be good, larry david also has the woody allen film so it’s gonna be a good year for him.
the cast of seinfeld were amazing actors and everytime they appear in curb theyre great. also only LD will know how to handle the whole michael richards racist thing and make it funny. are reruns of seinfeld shown everyday in america?!
