I love Lauren Graham, even though I only know her through my TV. Which is why I was excited to read Variety‘s report that Graham’s ABC pilot – Let It Go – has been picked up for next fall.
The plot is this: Graham plays a talk show host who gives out relationship advice, only to get dumped and struggle to follow her own advice in the wake of the break. She struggles with the break up, tries to find another man, cries and does some other boring stuff.
Though I’m not a TV expert, Let It Go will likely get canceled . I think there’s a good chance Let It Go is canceled in its first year. Unless the writing is stellar, or fans of Gilmore Girls turn out in droves to see the actress who played Lorelai Gilmore do her thing in a different show.
Which they will. For precisely one episode, before they realize that this isn’t Gilmore Girls 2.
So, I’m sorry Lauren. Maybe you’ll acting career will end and you’ll move in with me.

If you love Graham so much wouldn’t you give her a chance before slagging the show when you havn’t even seen it yet! I don’t know anything about men in tree’s but she quotes; “It’s a darker comedy… more like Arrested Development. Men in Trees was a really well written dramedy, but it was soft and sweet — kind of in the tone of Gilmore Girls. This is more comedic. It’s a totally different tone. And I don’t live in Alaska.”
You’re probably right – I shouldn’t hate on the show before even seeing it.
The thing that I’m nervous about is Lauren Graham’s track record in destroying shows. If you look at her IMDB profile (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0334179/), you see that it’s Gilmore Girls and a bunch of shows and movies that were canceled in their first season.
I mean, Lauren’s a legitimately good actress, but she chose to appear in The Pacifier and Evan Almighty. Those were horrible.
I just hope that Let It Go is closer to Gilmore Girls than most everything else she’s done.
Yeah i can understand your point, i mean i’m probablly biased considering i just think she’s great!
Gilmore Girls was amazing and i love how much sucess it got for her sake and everyone else’s, but yes i do know how many programmes she’s been in which have cancelled. I just wish she would pick the right one and make it to the big screen in real blockbuster success.
