I was live blogging the Golden Globes this past Sunday, and found it a bit weird that Law & Order: SVU‘s Mariska Hargitay wasn’t at the award show.

I remember hearing that she was pregnant, but I thought she had the baby a while back.  So I didn’t know what was going on with her that would cause her to miss out on the Golden Globes.

Two days later, we now know.  Hargitay, the Emmy-award winning actress, has a collapsed lung.

Don’t worry, though.  She’s doing fine, and plans on appearing in all of the remaining Law & Order: SVU episodes this season.

“Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung),” the rep told Access Hollywood.

Despite the injury, “she will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of ‘Law &Order: SVU,’” her rep added.

In light of her representative’s announcement that Hargitay will be in the remaining episodes of SVU this season, I’m going to guess and say that it’s not too serious.  Yes, it’s a collapsed lung.  But no, Hargitay won’t need to undergo surgery on it.

Which is good news.  She’s consistently one of the best actresses on TV, and it would be a shame if Hargitay couldn’t continue.

But she can, so we can all breath easy.

Well, except for Mariska.
