Paul Rudd Reminisces About Arrest

Paul Rudd, the lead actor/writer in Role Models (the funniest movie that I’ve seen in the past year) recently discussed something that many college students have had experience with (either personal or secondary) – getting arrested for public intoxication.

“I was drinking a beer outside,” Rudd told British morning show GMTC.  “One, I was underage, and you’re not allowed to drink outside.”

Yeah, that’s a lethal combination.  Sometimes you can get away with it when there’s big-time football games during the fall, local police often let drinking outside fly.  But it’s imperative that those who do drink in public are of legal age.

So learn from Paul Rudd, kids.  Don’t drink outside, and if you have to or think you can get away with it, use cups that can hide your alcoholic beverage (hence the red cups you see in every high school drinking scene).  Drink in moderation too.

The funny thing about Rudd’s arrest is that Rudd and GMTC host Andrew Castle shared the experience – Castle was arrested in the same region.

“I wonder if it was the same policeman that got us?”
