So, What Do They Say At The End of Lost in Translation

Every time Scarlett Johansson comes out with a new movie, I always get the strong urge to pop in Lost in Translation and get lost in two peoples intersecting lives in Tokyo like I did back in 2005 when I first saw the film.

There’s something about the movie that’s heartwarming, depressing and beautiful at the same time. That thing is the final scene.

When watching, I thought that Sofia Coppola did such a great job in editing the sound between Murray and Johansson so that there’s always a huge mystery among the audience about what they actually said.

If you’re reading this, you probably agree with that statement. Or maybe you despise the ending and just want to know what they said to each other in that crowded street of Tokyo.

All I know is that there isn’t much of a middle ground between those two viewpoints.

For those of you who want to know what was said between the two characters, you’re in luck. Here’s what was said.

If you don’t want to know, that’s admirable. I was in that boat for about six hours, and then I had to know because I have no self-control and love Lost in Translation.

So I won’t spoil the surprise, but I will keep the video embedded in this space.
